How Much Electricity Will Be Consumed Each Year If The Mobile Phone Charger Is Not Pulled? The Result Ss Amazing!

I believe that many people have the habit of inserting cell phone usb chargers into the rows and plugs. It is convenient for them to use with them. But did you think about the amount of electricity consumed behind this?

This was explored by Adrian Kingsley-Hughes, the author of ZDNet website technology. There are six chargers for smart phones and tablets in his home. All of them are connected to the power supply and do not charge the mobile phone. How much money will they waste on their own? Adrian used a WattsUp PRO power meter to test the charger. The results showed that an original Apple iPhone usb charger would consume 130 watts of electricity per month and about 1.5 kWh per year.

For most people, this number seems to seem to be inconvenient for plugging and unplugging chargers. Is it not $2 a year? In China, electricity bills are cheaper and less necessary.

However, Adrian believes that it is still necessary to remove the charger when not in use.

First of all, the power consumption of non-original chargers is much higher than that of the original ones, and millions of chargers around the world are accumulated, and the power consumption is very considerable. From an environmental point of view, every kilowatt-hour generated generates 1 pound (about 0.45 kilograms) of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. In addition, unplugging the charger is a good habit, which can greatly reduce the risk of fire.
